Myoko Suginohara Ski Area
Take a run down Japan’s longest slope
Providing 1,124 meters (3,700 feet) of vertical, and the longest continuous run in Japan—with a distance of 8.5 kilometers—Suginohara is one of Japan’s top ski areas. This big, open area has a wide range of choices. The upper reaches of the ski slope provide excellent snow quality and a magnificent view, even to Mt. Fuji across Japan when the weather is right. Some of the slopes are left ungroomed, providing excellent powder conditions.

Season Mid-December to early April, depending on snow conditions
Area access 25 minutes by bus, or 15 minutes by taxi from Myokokogen Station. The low-cost Myoko Shuttle bus runs between Akakura Onsen, Akakura Kanko, Ikenotaira Onsen and Myoko Suginohara ski areas.
