First snowfall in Myoko
In recent years, Myoko has taken its rightful place as one of the great snow destinations of the world. The area boasts some of the highest snowfall anywhere—some 19 meters every season—in a beautiful setting at the base of Mt. Myoko. The town has been welcoming guests for more than 200 years, first for the
onsen, or natural hot springs, fed from sources up on the mountain, and in recent years for the great skiing found here.
We’re here to help you have the best possible vacation in this great destination! We’re local; we know the people and the facilities—and we’re here to share this knowledge wth you.
Japan Snow Access is operated by Amy and Shiro Shimizu, and located right here in Myoko. They have been the leading figures in the promotion of Myoko for the past decade, and regularly travel abroad to take part in international snow-season trade shows and other events.
